 Forum Signatures
As most of you have noticed over the last few weeks the site has gotten increasingly slow. The main page was ok,, but once you tried to open a topic it took 20 to 30 seconds sometimes. It has turned out that the BFBC2 stats sigs that most of you started using was the culprit. I hate to see them go since some of you spent some time customizing them, but until we can figure out a way to speed them up I regret that the only solution for now is to disable the signatures completely.
Could someone who was working with the stats sig developer maybe contact them to see if they are having load issues on their server since those graphics are hosted on their server I suspect that they are just overloaded and need more bandwidth or power on their end.

Wow it is incredibly faster now. Willing to try to turn them back on if we can find the issue with the developer of the bc2 sigs to find out if there will be improvements on their end,, for now though it was too slow to turn it back on.

Just another thought on this subject.
If people want a Sig. and will restrict it to text only, it won't be a problem as far as hogging space is concerned.

Guys,
We have re-enabled sigs. If the site begins to slow down, we will try the next step and either restrict the sigs to static pics (not updated outside this server..i.e. BFBC2 sigs.) or if there is still a problem then we will restrict it to text only.

Sigs are off until it is decided what type will be allowed if any at all. There was considerable slowdown again with all the sigs going up.

Hi all,
We would like to put sigs back up. The only requirement that we have now for purpose of keeping the site quick and snappy for all is that you have a sig that is a static pic or text. Please do not use any Battlfield Bad Company 2 Sigs or any other sigs that require information that is updated via a source other than punkposse. This will allow us to provide the best possible experience for all users. Your sig should also be moderate in size. Moderators will let you know if the sig is on the larger side.
We will wait 24hrs so users can remove existing sigs that do not comply. Feel free to get yours ready until then.
